Thanks for your interest in Tolliver's Guide Service, a proud recipient of the “Best Of The Best” award, published in the Watauga Democrat newspaper. If your individual booking request consists of 1-2 clients and your requested date(s) are still available, then I will get back to you within 24 hours. For your convenience, my current availability is regularly updated on my Facebook business page and also on my Google business listing. It is best to contact me with email as cell phone service is very unreliable in these mountains, even though I have Verizon. My business email account is very reliable.
Tolliver's Guide Service now carries two special use permits for the National Forest Districts surrounding Boone. These 5 year permits are only issued to outfitters who are properly licensed and insured, and have a long track record of safety and conservation while guiding on federal lands.
Operating independently out of the Boone, North Carolina region, Tolliver’s Guide Service offers guided fly fishing trips to high country veteran explorers and newbie vacationers alike. Book trips in either Virginia, Tennessee, or North Carolina, and all necessary equipment will be provided free of charge with every experience. Newcomers will love the varied opportunities to enjoy the sport, and experienced anglers will learn more about the area than they knew before.
Your guide, former park ranger Jesse Tolliver, comes with 20 years of experience fishing the high country streams of Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. He has three years of guiding experience, including two at an Orvis endorsed lodge in Virginia. In addition to knowledge, he is fully licensed and insured, so you have nothing to worry about when planning your trip.
